CFI Funds First Dedicated Ultrasound Imaging Research Facility in BC

In 2015, Dr. Denise Pugash  received a grant from the Canadian Foundation for Innovation (CFI) to initiate the creation of the first dedicated ultrasound imaging research facility in British Columbia. With the generous support of the Skidmore family, BC Women’s Heath Foundation, the Women’s Health Research Institute, and BC Women’s Hospital, PRIME officially opened its new doors to researchers in 2020.

The Perinatal Research IMaging Evaluation (PRIME) Centre is a new ultrasound research facility that is a hub for researchers to create substantial advances in health care through the use of cutting edge technology.
