Six new ventures joined the HATCH (Phase 4) Accelerator Program in January 2021, after graduating from the first three phases of venture-building programming offered by entrepreneurship@UBC (e@UBC) .They range from a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)-based graduate program admissions platform to video gaming and health tech to an agriculture tech company combining hardware, software and AI. The ventures are:
ApplyChance: ApplyChance analyzes your CV’s strength and estimates the chance of admission to different universities.
Aqua Intelligent: Aqua Intelligent aims to eliminate water quality challenges for rural communities.
Cyberspline: Cyberspline develops interactive fitness virtual reality games that play to your beat.
HealthQB: HealthQB uses a wearable hardware integrated with proprietary software to track your body’s vital signs during the night, determining custom BioPsychoSocial health routines that will improve well-being.
Skylab: Skylab is a leader in AI portrait photo editing. Skylab empowers businesses, freelancers, and hobbyists to succeed in the digital age with automated portrait photo editing that is better than human editing, and done in a micro-fraction of the time.
Verdi: Verdi is making agriculture more prosperous and sustainable by building intelligent precision irrigation systems.
