NoTraffic Collaborating with Rogers to Improve Traffic Flow in Canadian Cities

NoTraffic provides an Internet of Things platform that uses computer vision, radar, cloud computing, vehicle-to-everything connectivity, and Ai/ML to connect traffic intersections to the grid. The intent is to reduce traffic congestion, improve road safety and air quality, and coordinate traffic and emergency vehicle movement. The platform has been proven to work over 5G the UBC-Rogers partnership, in a project led by ECE professor David Michelson. This work has led to a collaboration between the two companies that sees NoTraffic expanding  into Canada by teaming up with Rogers Communications, so that Canadian traffic agencies can benefit from the technology.
