On May 17th, 2013, ICICS co-hosted a day-long AUTO21 Connected Vehicle
Workshop featuring the work of national academic/industry automotive research networks exploring the use of wireless technologies to connect vehicles with each other or with roadside infrastructure. Representatives of the NSERC national university/industry network DIVA (Developing Next Generation Intelligent Vehicular Network and Applications) were important participants in this workshop. DIVA targets the development and integration of communication systems, vehicular technologies, and applications for enabling nationwide deployment of vehicular ad hoc networks and intelligent transportation systems.
