ICICS-sponsored Entrepreneurship Panel

On the evening of Monday, April 3, 2017, ICICS, Computer Science, and entrepreneurship@UBC (e@UBC) co-hosted an ICICS-sponsored dialogue about entrepreneurship as an alternate career path for UBC students.

An expert panel featured e@UBC Program Director Blair Simonite, Tagga Media founder and UBC Arts graduate Amielle Lake, and Barry Po, Senior Director of Product and Business Development at NGRAIN and a UBC CS alumni.

Roughly 70 Computer Science and Applied Science students were introduced to the entrepreneurship support programs available to them at UBC (including the HATCH incubator in the ICICS/CS building), and offered a window on what life is like in the startup world.  Panel members were available for one-on-one chats after the talks.
