Microsoft Funding Opportunities

Microsoft has announced the following funding initiatives that may be of interest to ICICS members.

  1. Open Science Research Proposal: Microsoft is interested in connecting with researchers that would like to to take advantage of Azure cloud credits under the Microsoft Open Science Research program. The goal of the program is to support researchers that could benefit from Azure credits and understand research needs around compute.   2. AI Security Research: Microsoft is building systems that are secure, and  providing tools that enable customers to manage security, legal, and regulatory standards. The goal of this Request for proposals is to spark new AI research that will expand Microsoft’s understanding of the enterprise, the threat landscape, and how to secure customer’s assets in the face of increasingly sophisticated attacks. AI will enable increased awareness and actionable insights, and make customers more agile than adversaries when defending their enterprises. Microsoft will fund one or more projects in new research efforts with university partners to invent the future of security together. Proposal are due by 5:00 PM PT, May 1, 2020.
